Man's abuse of his environment has caused problems with his food supply. Chemicals have entered the food chain and can end up concentrated in animals higher up the food chain. But it is not just the chemicals that man has added, unwittingly abusing the environment, he has also over harvested many of his food sources. This book, while divided into sections dealing with four different wild fish - Salmon, Tuna, Bass, and Cod - he mentions others. Attempts have been and are being made to tame these wild food sources with mixed results. The author posits we should look at fish that would be more appropriate for farming rather than choose these popular, but overfished wild food.
