The recommended reading order for J.K. Rowling books ultimately depends on the series. For instance, the Cormoran Strike novels are a six-book series of crime novels for adults beginning with The Cuckoo's Calling.

J.K. Rowling's new book is called The Ink Black Heart, which is part of the Cormoran Strike series penned under the name Robert Galbraith. Unfortunately, there are no new J.K. Rowling books in the Harry Potter series coming in the future, but the Harry Potter Wizarding Almanac, a companion and guidebook, will be out in October of 2023.
