This is a good introduction to biochemistry, however make sure you pick up a more recent edition (5th edition). A good starters guide for doing things such as lab activities, but not as comprehensive a text as I would have liked for it to be. All in all not a bad purchase from one of my favorite book sellers, and this is a good book to maybe get you started.
