Wonderfully readable and funny, as well as insightful, helpful and inspiring. I bought one for a friend, too.

okay
This book will not join the classics in my library, but it was okay. It starts well, then peters out and starts to get interesting then peters out again. Sort of like that. No stunning revelations, but not uninteresting.

A SELF-HELP "MUST HAVE"!
When it comes to facing the changes in our lives - voluntary, or involuntary - this book provides a realistic roadmap through a journey that many of us have taken, will take, or are taking again. The stories, exercises, examples and Ms. Beck's thoughtful way of just "putting things", cuts to the core in a very no-nonsense manner to help create sanity and understanding. I would recommend this book as a self-help "must-have", that can be referred to time and time again. There is always something new to glean. It was immensely useful in getting one's bearings back, when there doesn't seem to be any light in sight - a great book for the psyche!
