When Deputy Dan Scoville arrived in Delta the word he was coming had already reached town. And Cole Logan was waiting for him. Logan and his bully boys ran the town and the surrounding country side, and a lot of men had tried to put a stop to him, yet no one had succeeded. Add into the mix Loren Logan, Cole's sister, who Dan Scoville takes a liking for, and you have an even more serious problem. First published in 1953 at the hey-day of western books and movies and the beginning of telelvision when westerns were really the rage, this L P Holmes book does not disappoint in the least. It is fine story telling, "traditional" in scope and a book I heartily recommend if you want to read what a western was really like.
