Sowohl eine bessere MaB-, Form- und Oberfl�chengenauigkeit der gefertigten Werk- st�cke, wie auch gr�Bere Zerspanungsleistungen, die auf Grund neuartiger Schneidstoffe m�glich geworden sind, und damit ei ne volle Ausnutzung der installierten Motorleistung werden von den Werkzeugmaschinen gefordert. Die Arbeitsgenauigkeit einer Werkzeugmaschine h�ngt in starkern MaBe davon ab, inwieweit die f�r eine fehlerfreie Herstellung geforderte Relativbewegung zwischen Werkst�ck und Werkzeug eingehalten wird. Die Abweichungen von dem geforderten Bewegungsablauf werden durch geometrische Abweichungen z. B. in den F�hrungen und auch durch Verformungen infolge statischer und dynamischer Kr�fte beeinfluBt. Die geometrischen Abweichungen sind einfach zu �bersehen, relativ leicht zu messen und in den Abnahmevorschriften, die SCHLESINGER [1] f�r die verschie- denen Maschinengattungcn aufstellte, klar eingegrenzt. Demgegen�ber stellt die Ermittlung des Verhaltens einer Maschine gegen�ber statischen und dynamischen Kr�ften ein sehr komplexes Problem dar. Experimentelle Untersuchungen an Werkzeugmaschinen kleiner und mittlerer Bauart haben vielfach zu konstruktiven �nderungen gef�hrt, die eine Ver- besserung der Maschinen hinsichtlich ihrer statischen und dynamischen Eigen- schaften zur Folge hatten. Dagegen beschr�nkte man sich bei Schwerwerkzeug- maschinen bisher wegen des mit den Messungen verbundenen Aufwandes meist auf Untersuchungen an maBst�blich verkleinerten Modellen. Ein wesentliches Problem solcher Modellversuche liegt darin, daB die �bertragbarkeit der am Modell gewonnenen Ergebnisse auf die Hauptausf�hrung vom Grad der �hn- lichkeit zwischen den beiden Systemen abh�ngt.
