Carpathians: Dark Prince
In the Dark Prince, the 1st of Christine Feehan's Dark Series, has to do with Mikhail Dubrinsky, who is the Prince of all the Carpathians. The Carpathians are immortal, have been before time. The Carpathian protect humans, and other Carpathians. Their one goal, is to find their lifemates before they turn into a vampire, and to protect the prince.
In the Dark Prince, Miklail was ready to meet the dawn when he hears a woman's voice in his head. The voice he heard was his lifemate Raven, who is human and is pshyic.
Mikhail has powers that is beyond the human's ability to understand.
In this book, which is well written, and well research for a book on fiction, you will fall in love with all the characters from Mikhail to Raven, Gregori (the Carpathian Healer) to Jacque who is the Mikhail brother, to many of the characters whom make up the Carpathian people.
Christine Feehan, the author gives a wonderful, refreshing take on the vampires of other books, she does not try to make them look good, she discribes them in all the evilness.
The Carpathians she gives a whole new meaning to "hotties",
