Cookbook author Jasmine March's life is rich and satisfying like a perfectly prepared bchamel--but even a great bchamel curdles sometimes. This dark, wildly funny, and deeply imaginative first novel is about the pleasures of food and the perils of marriage.

To be honest I had a hard time getting through this book, I thought about moving on to other ones a few times, but I stuck with it, it wasn't completely terrible, and I am happy I did. The last few chapters completely turned the book around for me and even made me think about going back and rereading it was such a nice twist. The end made it worth reading I think. If you have to be grabbed at the beginning by a book, avoid this one.
