This is a remarkable autobiographical work by an American gay man who was born in 1871 and details his life - including his gay liaisons - during the latter part of the nineteenth century. Fascinating insight into how gay men lived and loved during a much less enlightened and less tolerant era. The only drawback: it ends in his early 30s: one is left wondering what happened to him? How much longer did he live? One longs for more details. Commendable bio!
