Kinsey Millhone seems like the modern day female version of the male P.I.s of the past like Rockford. It is pure entertainment. Judy Kaye is excellent as reader. She really brings Kinsey to life.

K is for Killer
I really love, Sue Grafton's mystery stories. They hold your interest and always turn out differently then you might have thought. Good reading.

A wonderful mystery novel
I read this book first out of Grafton's alphabet mystery series, and loved it. Main character Kinsey Millhone has a sharp wit , managing to find humor in nearly any circumstance. "K" is for Killer is written with intelligence and believability, able to stand alone on it's own in the series (I was not lost beginning in the middle of the series, but did not have to slog through a ton of exposition). It's a classic whodunit, with beautiful characterizations and many twists and turns of plot. Overall, a definite must-read for any mystery/suspense fan.

Killer
I have read most of Sue Grafton's books and found this one just a little boring in spots. However I would still tell someone else to read it if they love mysteries. Good read but some of hers are better

Wonderful Reads
I have read all her "alphabet series" so far and have not been disappointed. Her sense of humor pops out in the most amazing places and I find myself laughing out loud. She has a true talent for blending mystery, humor and character development. I always find myself looking forward to the next book and following her characters. Although previous characters are not usually essential to the plot, she weaves them in a nice continuous story line from one book to the next. Her detective work is "low tech" which makes it totally believable. I wonder what will happen to Kinsey after "Z"?
