If you enjoy such authors as Herman Hesse, G.K. Chesterton, M.P. Shiel, or some of H.G. Wells more pessimistic Ventures in literature, then I highly recommend this title to you. However if your the moderate fantasy lover, and enjoy such fantasies as "Lord of the Rings", or even some of the more pulpy stuff like "The Chronicles of Amber", and don't enjoy fiction for its philosophical elements, then don't bother with this novel.

allegory
An amazing vivid journey to another world through the eyes of a man searching for truth.
If you are a fan of C.S. Lewis's space trilogy, you will be quite surpised and entertained to find the many parallels between the two.
This book is quite well written, though I dont think the story being allegorical in nature really adds to the story telling. I didn't necessarily agree with the point the author was making, but I did enjoy the read.
