Having read Marine Sniper, I was pleased that it was not the normal Gung-Ho, Look at me book but a thoughtfull insight into the mind of a Marine Sniper Legend.
Having learnt to shoot at a young age to help feed his family, He joins the Marines and finds he has the aptitude for the discipline required to become a Marine.
He soon becomes known throught the Marines as he wins competion after competion.
Then comes Vietnam where he wrote the Sniper into Legend.
At no time do you feel he enjoys the killing or is bragging about it, but he does understand that what he does saves more lives than he takes.
This began the start of the Sniper School in the U.S.A helped by the Legend Marine Sniper.
