At first, I thought this was just going to be a "man's" book and indeed it is. However, if you can get past all the references to the sports and see how what he is saying applies to everyday Christian life, what an amazing book... what a powerful impact this can have on everyone's daily life. I am so glad I spent the time reading this book. My pastor recommended it from the pulpit of all things... completely unlike him... to take time away from Scripture and recommend a book like this. But I took him up on his challenge, and it has made a deep impact on my life. A friend and I share a "book club" and this is our most recent choice. It has been well worth the read.
