This book is a collection of what are called pseudepigrapha. That is, they were not really written by the people whose names they bear. They were written between 200 B.C. and A.D. 100 and cannot be considered to be true history, though there may be some accurate facts in them here and there. Any claims that these books were removed from the Bible are bogus, since they never were considered part of the Jewish Tenach or the Bible. Anyone not familiar with the Tenach (Old Testament) would probably get confused by reading this book.

Reader reports
We found the book interesting. We think that some Bible scholars may determine that some of the material may not coincide with their understand of Scripture. But, then, scholarlly differences of opinion are healthy for the open-minded. It is widely accepted that the canon used in Christian assemblies does not contain all the material writen over thousand of years. If we accept the author's efforts as sincere, he gives us material to broaden our uderstanding of God's great plan for humanity.
