While some of these recipes are pedestrian, recipes like "Spinach Surprise" and "Chocolate Sauce" with sherry are gourmet quality. I have a strong feeling that some of the recipes I haven't made, such as "Elevator Lady Spice Cookies" are equally good! And, as Peg Bracken notes, you can put this cookbook in your purse to take with you to the grocery store, a real treat in these harried times. This book is worth having just for its hilarious approach to cooking, appreciated even by those of us who are Julia Child afficionados!

Practical & humorous
These recipes are easy and use shortcuts, but are very good. As the name implies, they are not for the purist, make-from-scratch, "I just love to cook" person. The recipes are interspersed with humorous comments, though some might find them dated. My original copy was falling apart so I'm glad to have one that is still usable.

Cookbook
Book was delivered on time and book was in geat shape. I've already cooked-up two meals. No hesitation in recommending to people that don't like to cook and yes, to people who do.
