I ordered this book in plenty of time before my class starts. I did not receive the hardback correct book. Completely different ISBN # from the one on my receipt that I ordered and it wasn't hardback.
I am very disappointed as my family and myself have ordered several books from Alibris and had been very happy in the past.

Need the CD
I had to use this book for class. Honestly, I did not really like this book. The only thing that I liked was the order that it was in. They practically went from history, to organisms, to diseases. With this book, you NEED a highlighter and a pencil/pen. They try to make the language easy to understand, but you still need to really study it. This is not an easy read. The outlines at the ends of the chapters seem to go on and on with just random facts. The study questions wend from review, to multiple choice to critical thinking to clinical applications. It was very difficult and hard to keep up if you don't have a really good professor. The best thing is also the CD that comes with it. It directs you to a web site that has flash cards and animations and pretests among other useful things. Unfortunately I lost my CD at some point, so I really didn't get to use it all. PLEASE USE THE CD. It will help you the most.
