this is a wonderful read, that takes you to exotic places and a vanished way of life. africa as a continent has held an allure for generations of the best and brightest who where not content to stay at home. peter capstick was one such adventurer who arrived on the dark continent as it has changed into twentieth century. he writes of those who came before and left their indelible mark on that vast land and many peoples. peopled with charactors with unique nicknames such as w.d. karamojo bell and adventures with deadly and largley misunderstood big game it is a enjoyable read and i highly recomend it.
