The key to the success of this well-research, documented "masterpiece" is the quality of its illustrations. The layout and organization is excellent and to be commended for its clarity. The text itself is lucid and erudite yet without being pretentions.

Art History
Overall this books gives the reader a good insight to Art & Architecture. Never having any experience with the subject, I felt this book did a good job.
