You can read the book without getting bored just after a few pages, and actually learn something about writing in general and writing about art in particular when you finish it.
But if you're not in Art major or have a limited vocabulary related to art, it would be kinda difficult to read. So make sure you've known something at all (maybe get an old textbook first) before pick this up.

Short
This is a great "short" work to help you gather ideas on how to write about art. It is an excellent resource for a student to use to see that there is more to art than just the basics of artist, date, medium, etc.
This book also has a list of questions in the front that provide a means of starting an essay, research project, or discussion about art, artists, art movements, etc.
