This book was highly recommended in another book I recently read on the subject of discerning taste in the brain. So I got this as a gift for my daughter's birthday and some bottled grape leaves. What we really like about this book is the fact that most the recipes are very simple and straight forward, also the ingredients it calls for are readily available here in California. This is going to be a real adventure in different cuisine for them, I can't wait to see what they come up with. Surprise me! As they say!

this is my favorite cookbook
If I could choose one cuisine to eat most of the time it would be Middle Eastern. This book covers all of the Middle East, and the recipes are healthy, tasty and uncomplicated, using ingredients that should be available in any urban/suburban area (if not , go online). Using this book I made harissa that a tunisian friend said tasted like his mother's.
