This book is great for picture references or ideas for a beginner. This book is not for someone who has no skill or minimal skills in sewing, pattern making, etc. Being a seasoned sewer and designer, I did find the scaled illustrations and brief section explanations helpful, for that is all I really needed was the clarifications to her illustrations. For an advanced sewer, this book is a library must have!!

Doll Costumes
As a doll maker, I'm constantly searching and researching ideas on costuming period doll sculptures. This compilation of patterns is wonderful. It has saved me so much time, time better spent sculpting and designing the doll. A sleeve pattern on one page works great with a bodice on another page, etc. By enlarging the patterns to your needs, so far the ones I've used have fit perfectly. I highly recommend the book.
