Fast and Reliable
There are numerous bird identification books on the market but for birdwatchers new or old, this one is the gold standard. Birds are shown as illustrations not photos which is a much more reliable way of identifying them.
For each bird, there is a description of their habits, size, colouring, food and bird call. Next to this is a small map of North America showing where each bird is found in Summer and Winter. Best of all, this is a small but sturdy paperback which will fit easily into your pocket while bird watching.
