In 2013, Castle Face founder and Thee Oh Sees leader John Dwyer gathered fellow recording buffs Chris Woodhouse, Eric Bauer, and Bob Marshall for a show at the Bay Area venue the Chapel, where they prepared to document the evening's set by headliners the OBN IIIs. The Blind Shake were opening the concert, and the Castle Face crew were so impressed by their performance that they decided it deserved to be released as well.
