Featured in a quintet with leader/clarinetist Bobby Gordon, pianist Ray Sherman, bassist Morty Corb and drummer Gene Estes, Girard is on 12 of the 15 songs (the three other tunes are quartet features), and even though the tempos tend to be relaxed, she is still heard swinging hard.
