Of the 16 tracks, only four are genuine potboilers -- these include the Maytals' ubiquitous "Monkey Man" and Symarip's anthemic "Skinhead Moonstomp" ("Remember, I'm the boss -- look on my feet; I have the biggest boots"). Most of the rest come out of left field: Kenton Patrick croons sweetly on the melancholy "Don't Stay Out Late," Freddie Notes & the Rudies appeal to the tourists with "Montego Bay," and Stranger & Patsy harmonize in their inimitable style on the Latin-flavored "Yeah Yeah Baby." "Dollar in the Teeth" is an almost-interesting Upsetters instrumental, and the Skatalites phone in a lackluster version of "Silver Dollar."
