This volume of Martha Stewart Living is, not surprisingly, about putting children to bed, so the music is devoted to quiet NPR lullabies, balancing songs by new acoustic merchants like Nickel Creek, Alison Krauss, Tuck & Patti, and David Wilcox with adult alt-rock favorites like Barenaked Ladies, Lucinda Williams, and Everything but the Girl, plus thirtysomething staples like Bobby McFerrin, Keb' Mo', and Linda Ronstadt.
