Wonderful movie
This movie has such atmosphere you feel you are in New Orleans of the early 1900's. The story is of a baby born old. He gets younger looking as he ages, which is fascinating to watch. But the best part is his life. He is raised in an old folks home with a group of wonderful people who are already old. A child looking like them doesn't seem to surprise anyone. His adopted mother wanted a baby but couldn't conceive so she is thrilled with this odd and ugly child. When he is finally old enough, he does go to work. This leads him to the wider world beyond his home. He also has fallen in love with the grand-daughter of one of the residents. Their relationship is warm, loving and long-lived, although they go separate ways when she grows older and he grows younger. Wonderfully filmed & acted, this is a love story as deep as any! I loved every minute of the film and you will too.
