It was a very controversial historical event, the Battle of the Alamo, and this film brings the characters to life, especially the Mexican characters. I was educated a great deal by this film, and having visited the Alamo, I felt more a part of the event. Being at the Alamo brings a spirit of 'je-ne-sais-quoi ; watching this film brings closure.
