1 + 1 + 1 + 1 ... = One (Sad Product)
TITLE: The Mirror Crack'd
CAST: Elizabeth Taylor, Angela Lansbury, Rock Hudson, Kim Novak, Geraldine Chaplin, Tony Curtis, Edward Fox, Charles Gray and,in a way, Agatha Christie
RETURN ON INVESTMENT: I found this film searching Chaplin vehicles (I imagine the other names draw viewers too). When I saw the cast I thought how can i possibly lose? And all those stars in a Christie who-dun-it? to boot! That aspect of the effort (the mystery) is what gets this stars at all (Well, seeing Kim Nivak doesn't hurt and the G Chaplin part is fairly important and well done. So: ROI: 6 of 10
The others parts are mostly contributions to the fail side of the equation. AL looks like there's a ... up.... & leave it at that. RH seems to be doing his impression of William Shatner when he delivers his dialogue. TC uses facial expressions that are counter to his expected mood (smiling when angry, things like that). All those hint at poor direction (Guy Hamilton). I've spent enough of our collective time here. Bye
OH, forgot. Why the apostrophe in the title? The 'e' could very well have been there.
