Grosse Pointe by Natalie Barnes was a good 4 star read.
This is a historical mafia romance set in the 20's. It took a bit to get used to the irish dialect.
The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing.
This is Brek's story, he uses his memories of Gabriella to help him get through some difficult times. We get a mixture of prohibition and mafia danger. When Brek was 15 he traveled to the US, he gets involved in the alcohol and drug scene. The relationship he has with Gabriella is a huge emotional rollercoaster.
