O segundo livro da cole��o "Instituto Pazes apresenta" reflete temas centrais que perpassaram os cursos, produtos e atua��es oferecidos pelo Instituto Pazes nos �ltimos quatro anos. Procuramos apresentar conceitos importantes num formato breve e acess�vel, de forma a contribuir para o aprofundamento de pr�ticas e compreens�o ou fixa��o de conte�dos relevantes a profissionais que atuam com conflitos, conex�o, Justi�a Restaurativa e Comunica��o N�o-Violenta. Cada reflex�o apresentada neste espa�o � de autoria conjunta dos pesquisadores e co-fundadores do Instituto Pazes (Elaine Cristina, Lucas Jeronimo e Mayara Carvalho). � importante salientar que nossa constru��o de conhecimento sempre foi coletiva, em di�logo constante com as pessoas e institui��es que participaram da nossa trajet�ria. Esse saber coletivo tamb�m reflete bastante das nossas redes de di�logo, suporte e intera��o. Al�m disso, refer�ncias acad�micas importantes foram indicadas conceito a conceito. Em 2023, visando promover e aprofundar, de forma aut�ntica, a comunica��o pessoal e interpessoal, lan�amos no mundo as Cartas Pazes, uma cole��o de 400 cartas, distribu�das em cinco decks (sentimentos, necessidades, percep��es, desafios e estrat�gias). A ideia das Cartas Pazes surgiu diante dos desafios das nossas pr�ticas. Procur�vamos por ferramentas que ultrapassassem o b�-a-b� da Comunica��o N�o-Violenta e que proporcionassem abordagens mais profundas. Como n�o encontramos uma alternativa que contemplasse os pontos mais desafiadores da nossa pr�tica, decidimos desenvolver o material que quer�amos que existisse. Acreditando no potencial das Cartas Pazes para qualificar, diversificar e inspirar pr�ticas, optamos por veicular nesta obra algumas possibilidades de atua��o e reflex�es que passaram pela cria��o do material. As Cartas Pazes foram pensadas para contribuir com o desenvolvimento do autoconhecimento e do autocuidado; auxiliar na gest�o e transforma��o de conflitos; facilitar o di�logo, inclusive em situa��es dif�ceis; qualificar atendimentos terap�uticos; promover a educa��o socioemocional; e at� mesmo como entretenimento did�tico-reflexivo.
