This is excellent literature. Quo Vadis is extremely well written. The Jeremiah Curtin translation is my favorite. It is much more than a fantastic love story. The reader can not read this novel without contemplating one's own life and actions. The courage of the characters is inspiring. Henryk Sienkiewicz skillfully demonstrates the power of humility and standing firm for things greater than ourselves. If you must watch the movie, do it after reading the book. To me, the movie is like eating chicken nuggets instead of filet mignon. Read this masterful story. You will not be disappointed.
