Romero hace gala de un lenguaje cuidadoso, una precisi�n estructural milim�trica y un plexo de met�foras sobrias que no por serlo dejan de ser originales. Menci�n aparte merecen cuentos tan brillantes como 'El cormor�n', 'Toni el mec�nico', 'La luz que nunca se apaga', 'Un mundo perfecto', 'El funeral', 'El mu�eco de nieve', o 'El mar de hierba', �ltima pieza del libro. Tampoco pod�a faltar el pedigr� que respalda toda propuesta art�stica que merezca ese nombre. 'El mar de hierba' lo tiene, y de la mejor calidad. Entre sus antecesores literarios se cuentan escritores tan indiscutibles como Tob�as Wolff, Carver, Cheever, Luc�a Berlin y, en general, los herederos de la escuela realista norteamericana que encabezaran en su momento Hemingway y Salinger. Lo m�s interesante es que Romero reactiva esta herencia d�ndole al declive actual de la sociedad industrial el sentido de un mito tan personal como l�cido. In�s Mendoza Luis Romero Villa (Bilbao, 1970). Es licenciado en Historia. Ha participado en el programa de Doctorado en Historia del Arte de la UNED, obteniendo el t�tulo del DEA. En el �mbito profesional, su carrera como funcionario se ha desarrollado en el sector log�stico en la empresa estatal Correos. En la actualidad trabaja en la Tesorer�a General de la Seguridad Social. Motivado por sus lecturas tempranas y por su imaginaci�n activa, sinti� desde ni�o la necesidad de escribir. En 2013 decide tomarse en serio su vocaci�n de escritor y formarse para ello. Comienza entonces su aprendizaje en los talleres de la Escuela de Escritores que lleva a cabo durante una d�cada. Ganador del certamen literario IX Concurso Literario Vasco D�az Tanco. Ha publicado un cuento en el libro Se los llevaron en el cami�n del historiador riojano Tom�s Llanos Justa. El mar de hierba es su primer libro de relatos.
