This book is a perfect way to teach younger children how to share and be giving. The book describes a young girl, Annabelle, who decides she wants to knit a colorful sweater. She finishes her sweater and realizes that she has more yarn left over, so knits a sweater for other people in the town. The illustrations tie the whole book together because it looks like pieces of fabric were used to create all of them. This picture book also describes how Annabelle is spreading color to the whole town with her yarn and reminding people to cherish each other and that this makes people happy. I would recommend this book to younger readers who are having a difficult time understanding how to share, but I don't feel this book could tie into any other lesson.
