Dies mag darauf zur�ckzuf�hren sein, dass �die bedeutendsten gro�en Firmen in den verschiedenen wissensintensiven Dienstleistungsbranchen auf dem deutschen Markt �..." in der Mehrzahl internationale, ausl�ndische Unternehmen" sind und die dargestellte Problematik von deutschen Wissenschaftlern deshalb nur wenig beachtet wurde. H�ufig sind es �Brancheninsider', die in Publikationen einen Einblick in das Beratungsgesch�ft gew�hren. Zudem mag die Verpflichtung der Beratungsgesellschaften zu einem hohen Ma� an Seriosit�t gegen�ber ihren Klienten in der Vergangenheit die Attraktivit�t der Beratungsbranche als Gegenstand wissenschaftlicher Arbeiten im Vergleich mit anderen Wirtschaftsbereichen gemindert haben: Gew�hnlich lassen sich Klienten durch die Unterzeichnung entsprechender Vertragsklauseln garantieren, dass Consultants �ber die im Rahmen der Konsultation gewonnenen Informationen �ber das Unternehmen w�hrend wie nach Abschluss der Beratung gegen�ber Dritten Verschwiegenheit zu wahren haben. Entsprechend beweisen Beratungsgesellschaften bei Anfragen etwa �ber die Branchenzugeh�rigkeit der Mehrzahl ihrer Klienten, die durchschnittliche Dauer der Beratungsprozesse oder die Zusammenstellung der Beratungsteams ein hohes Ma� an Verschwiegenheit. Auch �ber interne Prozesse und Strategien wie etwa Instrumente zum Wissenstransfer zwischen Beratungsteams oder die Integration des externen Faktors sind von den Beratungsgesellschaften nur sehr vereinzelt Informationen zu erhalten. Gegen�ber potenziellen Klienten wie gegen�ber Wettbewerbern versucht man, ein Minimum an Transparenz zu gew�hren, damit die eigenen Konzepte oder Teile davon nicht kopierbar und von Klienten oder anderen Beratungsgesellschaften angewendet werden k�nnen.
