This book in the Hatje Werkdokumente series features all of Keith Sonnier's large neon light works commissioned between 1990 and 1999, among them the permanent light installations for the Munich airport ('Lightway', 1989-1992), the 'Miami Heliotrope', 1996, the Ronald Reagan Airport, as well as the International Trade Center in Washington, D.C., 1997. The American artist began using colored neon light in his works as early as 1968. In the 1980s, he began using this unusual material in a number of public commissions, some of them outdoor installations. Slight scratching/scuffing on cover.
