She wants to know how walking labyrinths will affect her -- physically, mentally and spiritually. Most of her walks are on foot, while others are by hand, either using a finger labyrinth or drawing a seed pattern labyrinth and mindfully tracing its path. This evolving practice offers her time for meditation, provocative thought, and reflection. She candidly shares observations of the physical spaces that surround her and the inner spaces that are revealed. She describes the difficulty of establishing a consistent routine, the intermingling of loneliness and sense of community, companions on her journey, and, always, Why? She refrains from spoon-feeding answers but instead invites readers to experience their individual pathways at their own pace, ask their own questions, and feel the company of her images and words.
