A 2008 Senate hearing focused on corporate largesse in America just about put The Mustangs out of business. The ensuing cut back in entertainment budgets by most corporations meant a lack of work for the band and an abundance of downtime. That in turn led to an experiment. The idea was to form a multi-generational band that would focus on vocally challenging songs from the 1960s to the present. In 2010, two talented young female singers (foxes) joined up with the experienced voices of The Mustangs (fossils).
