If you love watching old movies, read this book. It's fascinating to see how much is changed or left out by movie script writers, both because of the normal time constraints of a movie, and the censorship rules in force at the time the movie was made. Elmer Gantry is an interesting story of who/what people believe and how they come to (or are led to) believe it.
