Frankie is just an ordinary girl who works for the slaughterhouse, except that she is an outcast, unusually tall and with no hair on her head, kept in the dark by a parent more interested in sheltering her than exposing her to the world. As a little girl, her father told her about the Adeasols--a mysterious group of cannibalistic cave dwellers who live in the mountains. After a chance run-in with the creatures, she uncovers a buried cache of stolen gold as well as her own frightening bloodlust.
