This is probably the book to recommend to everyone, since we can't make it federally mandated as compulsory reading! It is prescient, disturbing, clarifying, shocking, and in the systemic way it is constructed, it is all too true. Read it, and then you look up and you see exactly what it says happening in the book happening in the world. Since it was written in 1972 much of what was then 'science fiction' has already come true, and it continues to predict the patterns of events that threaten our lives.
