Each chapter contains notes and recommendations by wine critic and Sothey's Master of Wine, Serena Sutcliffe. This luxurious book also features a history of the house of Perrier-Jouet by historian Jean-Pierre Devroey, together with art specialist Federico Simonti's reflections on art and fashion trends of the period, as well as author and journalist Leslie Geddes-Brown's insights into the events and iconic moments from 1964 to 2002. Special photography is by the celebrated Japanese photographer Makiko Takehara, and each chapter is also illustrated with specially selected paintings and artwork that provide a historical background to each of the vintages, highlighting not only the influence of art, but also a reference to the changes in fashion, jewellery and design of the time.
