Sometimes termed 'the bible of A.T. hiking, ' each year's Data Book consolidates the most basic information from 11 detailed guidebooks into a lightweight table of distances between major Appalachian Trail shelters, road-crossings, and features. My book was missing over 630 miles, it kept repeating Georgia to Central Virginia and New Hampshire to Maine. I had a huge argument with the publisher abt the error who insisted it was impossible and I was not stating the truth. I spent $4.25 to ship the book back to him and he sent me a replacement book to the wrong address but I did finally receive it. The publisher refuses to place a warning out on this book but I have. This is a must have if you plan to spend a couple days hiking on any part of the trail or attempt a thru-hike.
