This book may seem out-date with the many references to music. Even if they sound odd like New York Dolls...and Ramones, they are actual bands. Majority of the music reference is to Scottish tunes. You could produce an album alone just on the music selection and be happy.
He is a thrilling author that will have you laughing in stitches and praying the fey don't try to help stop you.
There were such a variety of feys from all across the globe all referencing New York locations like Harlem and Little Italy and Chinatown. Martin has a unique out of the box perspective of beauty and that we all can be beautiful no matter what the circumstances.
I did not want the book to end but I also took my time to write and research the songs so it took longer to read. Take you mind back to early 90's and what fashion and music was like to a collector of such things. Add a blob of fairies from all over in the pot and miscommunication galore you have the book. A fun fill delight to laugh the blues away.
