I hoped this would give me a good tour of the Bible but was disappointed.
The choice of texts was fine but unfortunately the commentary on each passage was less good. This I found to be tendacious and too American! The commentary gave a very narrow (if traditional American Evangelical) view of Scripture which bordered on the patronising at times. It would have done better to ask good questions and allowed God to speak His own way through the text (I find he is quite good at that!)
