I always enjoy a good thriller. Mystery and spy novels are among my favorite types of book. I never thought I would read a thriller in which the main character was an ocean liner. And even though she belonged to the bad guys, you are rooting for her to win.
Set at the outbreak of WWII, the great liner Bremen was waiting to sail from New York in the neutral USA. What a prize she would be to the Britsh who lay in wait outside US waters.
The story of how she escaped, only to be destroyed later in the war, is a great maritime tale. I highly recommend this well written book
