Prononc�s en 1925 lors d'un discours, ces mots du marquis de la Franquerie sonnent plus vrai encore aujourd'hui, presque un si�cle plus tard. Un an apr�s cette allocution, il publie La Mission divine de la France pour tenter de r�pondre � la question: Pourquoi la France se meurt-elle ?, et pour lui montrer le chemin de la r�demption. La France a une mission et ne peut cesser d'�tre catholique et monarchique sans cesser d'�tre la France . S'appuyant sur de nombreux penseurs, �crivains, philosophes, de l'abb� Vial � Tocqueville ou Mgr Delassus, mais aussi sur des proph�ties et les t�moignages d' �mes privil�gi�es, l'auteur �claire l'histoire de France � la lumi�re de cette mission qui lui fut donn�e: �tre le porte-flambeau de la V�rit� catholique, le royaume de la religion universelle, d'o� doit rayonner la royaut� universelle du Christ . Mais ce rayonnement ne peut se faire sans celui du roi, lieutenant de Dieu et p�re de la nation, souverain par la gr�ce divine. Rayonnement ext�rieur, mais aussi force int�rieure, coh�sion du peuple, symbole de l'autorit� et de l'amour: Le jour o� la R�volution a coup� la t�te de Louis XVI, elle l'a coup�e � tous les p�res de famille. Citant Clemenceau, pour qui depuis la R�volution, nous sommes en r�volte contre l'autorit� divine et humaine, le marquis de la Franquerie, constate que les droits de l'homme sont la n�gation de ceux de Dieu et met en garde la France: Tant que la France ne reprendra pas sa place de fille a�n�e de l'�glise, nous la verrons [...] rouler d'ab�me en ab�me ... Andr� Lesage (1901-1992), dit marquis de la Franquerie, dipl�m� de l'�cole des sciences politiques et de l'�cole du Louvre, fut r�dacteur en chef de la Revue internationale des soci�t�s secr�tes et collabora � plusieurs journaux catholiques, antir�volutionnaires et anti-ma�onniques. En 1939, il re�ut le titre honorifique de cam�rier secret de cape et d'�p�e de Sa Saintet�.
