I read this book in the early 1990's after a tremendous hurt. This book is amazing and helped me view my situation in a positive light. I've shared this book with many people since that time. Recently, a couple reminded me that I had given them this book after a church hurt. This book convinced them to stay in that church through the difficult time. They were able to encourage others and they have grown tremendously through the years.

Help for those who feel persecuted
A Tale of 3 Kings was just the thing for my son. He was working intensively with a group of other young adults who he had been socializing with. The group leaders held different beliefs which made my son feel unsure of his own beliefs. Reading David's story helped him understand that he could retain his own beliefs while working with those who were often radically different. The book also gave him perspective on NOT becoming Saul-like and lashing out at those around him. This would be good for any who are in faith based disagreements.

Deep, Insightful Character Study
Excellent book, simply told. Great character study of Biblical leaders that provides deep insight into the virtues, pitfalls and temptations prevalent in leadership. A "must read" for anyone desiring --or who is perhaps thrust into--leadership. Also provides valuable insights to help understand the type of leaders among us. Great book to read and discuss with friends or groups.
