The House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol was formed July 1, 2021. It reviewed over a million documents and interviewed over a thousand witnesses. Its composition was bipartisan, albeit not in the way GOP leadership had proposed (as discussed in Prof. Childress's Foreword in Part 1), and many of its hearings were public.
