How amazing Rivers is - she never fails to plumb the depths of us poor humans. What we substitute for true faith and what can be redeemed in us. This is for the girl in all of us.

The Last Sin Eater
Francine Rivers has done it again! I love all her books and this was no exception. The Last Sin Eater was gripping right from the start and has such a great message. Her books are always so deep and meaningful. It has such real life application like how we need to communicate our feelings with those we love and how important the truth is and how much a lie and deceit can destroy people. Such a great read! I highly recommend this book to everyone!

It caught my attention because of the title
This was the best book I have read all yr, and I read alot!!! I passed it on to other members of my church. I was amazed at this belief of getting sin out of your life. I had never heard of this tradition and researched it on the internet. I was very happy of course that the end showed how salvation really is and that alot of the characters written in the story actually got saved. I liked that the author based her story on a true fact. This is a amazing and uplifiting writer, I have read several of her books. It impressed me so much, I purchased the movie and met a group of women to watch it at a friends house.

Applicable to today's Christianity
Exemplifies the current situation of traditionalism and thinking which has difficulty accepting the true Word of God as revealed in His Scriptures. It demonstrates how two, albeit young, people can effect a change of people's hearts and set them free from a long-standing tradition that a mere person can remove sin from people at their death and also to release them from fear that held them captive. Found the book to be slow starting but my interest increased as I read further.
